“New life for edentulous patients, ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’”

‘Gwanghwamun Sun Dental Clinic’ is located on Taepyeong-ro (Gwanghwamun) in the center of Seoul.
Gwanghwamun is one of the landmarks representing Korea. That's also because it was the base of the Joseon Dynasty, which ruled this land for 518 years and 27 generations. Suddenly, I wondered who the king had the most severe toothache during this period.
As a result of searching for 'toothache' in the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty, 'Jungjong' was the king that appeared the most out of a total of 749 cases. King Jungjong was born in 1488 to King Seongjong and Queen Jeonghyeon, and was the half-brother of Yeonsangun.
Considering that there is a record of Yeonsangun's toothache in Yeonsangun's diary, it seems that there was also a genetic cause. If dentistry had developed as it does now, governmental activities might have been more desirable. Toothache is always a problem. Let's come back and talk about sun dentistry.

Sophisticated ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’
Dr. Dae-il Yang said, “Sun Dental Clinic has been open for about 15 years. About two years ago, due to the circumstances of the director who was running the dental clinic, I took over the dental clinic, and I am treating patients whole heartedly to inherit the reputation of clinic.”
When asked about the adoption of digital devices, Dr. Yang said, “About two years ago, after taking over Sun Dental Clinic, I introduced digital devices in earnest. Of course, the need for the adoption of digital device had been felt before that. ‘DIOnavi.’ was chosen it after much consideration in that respect. In the case of ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’, I liked it even more because it has very little error compared to products from other companies and has the precision to perform delicate procedures.”.
“Actually, I tried from other companies products before choosing ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’. Each product has its strengths and weaknesses, but the strength of DIO was, above all, ‘Accuracy’. Compared to other products, ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ was the most reliable and the accuracy was excellent. It has only been about a year since the introduction of the ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’, but I am confident that it was an optimal choice because the patient had no problems after the procedure and the patient satisfaction rate was very high. In the future, we plan to attract more patients who need ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ through publicity.”
A gift for patients and dentists
There are four major methods of treatment for edentulous patients. Among patients who have lost all of their teeth, there are ‘denture’, which are used when implants cannot be placed due to poor gum condition. And ‘implant denture’, in which 2 to 4 implants are implanted and then the dentures are fixed using a connecting device. Among them, a ‘whole implant’ method is used in which multiple implants are placed and the prosthetics are connected individually, but this procedure is not permanently usable and costs high, which feels a burden to patients.
However, with the release of ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’, it brought innovation to the treatment method for edentulous patients. The ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ is a method of placing 4 to 6 implants and connecting them into a single prosthetic appliance. By adopting the latest digital method, the implant position is pre-determined according to the design of the prosthesis and placed. 4-6 implants are connected as a single full arch prosthetic, so it has high stability and can be used for a long time. In addition, since the gum area can be reproduced, it is aesthetically very natural, and the cost is reasonable because the number of implants is optimized according to the patient's condition.
When asked about the patients' reactions, Dr. Dae-il Yang said, "Compared to removable dentures or other implants, the ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ is a digital system with the most suitable structure, robustness and accuracy for the patient's condition, so the patient is very satisfied. Koreans tend to have strong masticatory power. In the case of removable prosthesis, the prosthesis can fall off and you may feel uncomfortable. I don’t think there is a better implant system than DIOnavi. Full Arch.” he explained about ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’.
‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’, highly recommended
When asked about the impact of the introduction of the ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ on sales, Dae-Il Yang, CEO of the dental clinic, said, “As I mentioned earlier, the introduction of the ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ is not long ago, but the results of the treatment on patients have been positive. It was very good and the dentist confirmed that it helps too. For this reason, we plan to attract more patients who need surgery, such as edentulous patients, by promoting the ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’.”
And “’DIOnavi.’ can predict the best results in advance from 3D diagnosis, 3D computer simulation, and highly difficult case treatment. It is a system with a wide spectrum such as edentulous, immediate placement after tooth extraction, and maxillary sinus lift. I think it is a system that is beneficial to both patients and dentists by minimizing patient discomfort and significantly reducing patient pain through less incisional procedures and reducing procedure time and number of visits, unlike conventional procedures.”
In addition, Dr. Yang continued, “The Sun Dental Clinic adheres to its own treatment policy. It is a philosophy to achieve satisfactory results for both patients and dentists through a ‘meticulous’ process from the patient’s diagnosis to treatment. We are working with care to ensure that no cases are left behind, such as not treating patients properly because we are pressed for time, or hastily performing procedures such as prosthetics and implants. He emphasized, "If the patient is not treated properly, the patient will not know this right away, but it will eventually cause problems and add to the burden of dentistry, so we are pursuing perfectionism to 'cure properly once'."
Dr. Yang of Gwanghwamun Sun Dental Clinic, is drawing the future of expanding sun dentistry based on patient trust through digital activation such as ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’.
