‘UV Activator 2’ design innovation
DIO(CEO Jin-Baek Kim), a digital entrepreneur, was selected as the winner of the iF Design Award in the German International Design competition on May 5th.
The iF Design Award, launched in 1953 by the German International Forum, is one of the world’s three largest design awards. It comprehensively evaluates design, innovation, and functionality in seven areas such as product, package, communication, concept, service design, interior, and architecture.
DIO has introduced 'UV Activator2' in the product sector that goes beyond the limits of implant surface treatment, and won this design award not only for its original technology, but also for its design differentiation so far.
'UV Activator2' is an innovative product structure that maintains its compact size and elegant appearance and realizes a convenient environment through display control. The short UV irradiation time of 20 seconds was highly valued for maximizing the usability of the product with a chairside solution.
In particular, the control pattern consisting of an LCD display is easy to operate and boasts a sophisticated and mature design.
Two types of pink and blue LED flashlights to choose from according to trends visualize the product's appearance more delicately, and an open design suitable for chairside attracts viewers.
Kim Jin-baek, who led the R & D innovation of DIO, said, "DIO is proposing a new digital dental treatment based on thoughts that reflect time and insights that shape the future."
In the future, we will focus all our capabilities to deliver the experience and value that our customers want with innovative technology and DIO's unique design.
